Chief Financial Officer (FTC - 18 Months)

Salary: Circa £180,000

Location: Flexible / Hybrid

Recruitment Fox is proud to be partnering with a leading organisation on this critical senior appointment.

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join on an 18 month fixed term contract to provide maternity leave cover.

The Opportunity

As CFO, you will take full accountability for the strategic planning, leadership and delivery of all financial operations across the organisation. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving performance, and ensuring rigorous governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, inspiring, and developing a high performing finance and accounting function.
  • Setting clear strategic objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and engagement.
  • Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance of all financial statements.
  • Managing cashflow and ensuring entities maintain appropriate capital levels.
  • Leading annual audit processes and ensuring robust financial controls.
  • Providing meaningful commercial insight to support decision making.
  • Supporting pricing strategies and partnering with commercial teams.
  • Advising on long term financial planning and challenging strategic assumptions.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to extract insight from complex data.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across all levels including Board.
  • Strategic and commercial acumen coupled with sound financial judgement.

  • High integrity, diligence and professionalism.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree level education (finance related discipline desirable but not essential).
  • Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Significant post qualification experience, including holding a CFO role previously.
  • Strong team management background.
  • Excellent MS Excel and financial modelling capability.
